Sunday afternoon I went on my monthly shopping trip and the kitchen counter was full of pantry items and my pantry upstairs would not house it all. I have a nice shelving unit in 'my room' that is unreachable therefore making it is unusable. Monday morning came and I said in a loud triumphant voice "TODAY I will clean out my room"... I must have forgotten how bad it was, because when I opened the door I thought "TODAY..... I will clean out the front 1/3", as this is where my pantry is. I pulled half of the stuff out and my kids went bonkers touching everything, wanting everything... I cleaned out the front 1/3, loaded my pantry, organized my sewing stuff and updated the kids totes ( I will post on this later), and put the other

My Room
I think of myself as a pretty organized person. I have a junk drawer, that is mostly organized, under the beds are clean and my closets are neatly presented. However I have a 'storage room' in my basement next to my laundry room that is forbidden for anyone to go into, it even have a child lock on it. The reason is, is because it looks like someone stood at the door and proceeded to throw unwanted things into it. Well to be honest that's because that whats someone (ie me) did. You ask yourself why don't you just get rid of the things, and I say its not that simple (no I'm not a closet hoarder).

Yes I did take pictures, but I will not show them until it is finished, consider this as a TO BE CONTINUED. My ultimate goal it to turn it into part storage, part pantry and mostly craft corner for me. I have all these wonderful ideas whooshing in my head its just a matter of doing it. Check it later this week for another update. If you have a project or ideas you want to share, feel free to comment below.

Pizza Lasagna
I found a yummy looking recipe for a pizza casserole, but I didn't have all the ingredients. Lasagna sounded good, but again didn't have everything and the thought of Walmart at 5:00 was not appeasing. So, I merged the two and came up with this...
Yes was as good as it looks! So here is how you make it.
Ingredients:
1 pound of hamburger
1 pound of sausage
1 box of lasagna noodles
1 large jar of pizza sauce
1 bag (2 cups) of mozzarella cheese
a package of pepperonis
First brown 1 pound of hamburger and 1 pound of sausage. Drain and set it aside. Bring a large pot to a boil and cook the lasagna noodle til they are almost done. Drain them and set aside.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Ok now we will start to build. Fist cover the bottom of your 9x13 with pizza sauce.
Now spoon 1/4 of your meat mixture over your sauce.
Now layer some of your noodles. *Note Be careful they are probably hot and will rip if you throw them.
Sprinkle some cheese on top. My family likes cheese so I went a little over board...
Now keep layering until you run out of stuff. and top with pepperonis. I topped it with cheese again :)
Now bake it for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is all gooey. I hope you enjoy this as much as my crew did.
Thankful Hearts Day 3
My husband is not the most romantic person, however I cannot begin to tell you what a hard worker he is. It took me the first year of our marriage to understand that was his way of 'being romantic' and showing his love to me. I have been able to stay at home for 3 out of the 4 years I have have been a mommy, and it is all because of him. My task today was to go out of my way to tell him how thankful I am. I got his coffee and breakfast ready (as I am not a morning person and he knows this) and left a note (before heading back to bed). Be sure to tell your love how much you appreciate them. We get so caught up in the day to day that we forget how it all started.

Thankful Hearts Day 2
Its snowing, raining and about 36 degrees outside. What a perfect day to say thank you to our mailman. Brooklyn and I filled a bag with some candy and put a note attached to the top that simply said 'Thank you Mr. Mailman!' We put it in our mailbox and went about our day. Brooklyn was so excited, she was giggling saying, ohhh I bet he really likes candy. Something small that cost very little money made Brooklyn's day and I hope the mailman's too!

Thankful Hearts Day 1
With a countdown to Thanksgiving our family has decided to participate in a 'thankful' countdown. Each day we are going to count down to Thanksgiving by participating in a 'thankful act'. I want to teach my kids that there is much more to life then get get get. I want thankful kids, so we are going to have to become a more thankful home. For day one we are going to the food pantry. We are blessed with food to eat, so others should be too. A few days ago I organized my pantry (because I'm OCD) and pulled out the stuff we have not used or are not going to use. I have 7 bags of stuff so off we go... On the way to the food pantry I asked Brooklyn what she thought about not having food to eat, and she didn't really understand. So I explained that there are families that don't have enough money to buy food, and its up to us as Christians to help others. I don't think she totally got it, but we are planting seeds. Maybe you and your family can sit down and think of some ways to be thankful by giving to others. I would love to hear your thoughts.
yes my child does have clothes this is just what she chooses to wear :)
What a deal!
So I got the Sunday paper about 3 weeks ago and there was a coupon for 8.00 off 2 Covergirl face products, being the couponer I am I get 4 papers so cut all 4 coupons out and put them in my box. The coupons expired 10-31 and I haven't seen any stellar deals so I thought the coupons were going to go to waste. On Saturday afternoon I went to walmart with my sister in law and saw the mother of all deals. I saw a combo pack of powder and foundation for 5.29!!! I of course didn't have my coupons with me (shame on me). I ran home (well drove) and got my coupons and went back to the store. I picked up 4 packs and headed to the register, the cashier rang them up and used only 3 of my coupons and I paid .16 cents and still had a coupon. I took my coupon, went and picked up a 5th package, a bottle of soda and 2 packs of gum (as my walmart will not pay you for overages) and paid .13! So I bought 10 pieces of makeup, a 20oz bottle of mt dew and 2 packs of gum for a grand total of.... .29 cents. The picture only has 4 of the makeups because I had already taken one to my sister in law, as if it wouldn't have been for her I would have never seen the rock star deal!! :D Couponing is possible at Walmart you just have to be on the look out for the deal!! I would love to hear about your coupon tips!
